"A Glimpse of Sunshine" depicts a large clear glass vase of flowers, being illuminated by the last rays of the sun coming through the window into the room just before dusk. The waning sun light accentuates the brown background, and the dark brown background fades to light brown where the sun's light is still present. The bright yellow flowers provide a brilliant contrast to the brown background. The swirls on the vase reflect the sun light onto the wall creating a interesting backdrop for the Flower arrangement. The flowers are a mix of large Mums and Lilies. This is a beautiful still life that will compliment any decor. Available in eprint and Giclee prints. Artist's Comments: Longing to capture this setting of the sun peaking into the room and sending it's rays falling onto the glass vase and flowers. The Flowers that were closest to the window and the front of the vase showed off their light soft color while the flowers in the back of the vase faded into the shadows. This arrangement and the colorful contrasts had such appeal to me, I wanted to enjoy and remember this image long after the sun went down.
