"Ever so Still" depicts a small fishing and crabbing dock on one of the many creeks that flow into the Delaware Bay. This scene is located off route 9 between Smyrna and Little Creek, Delaware. A peaceful and quiet time of the year, the watet is still. It is fall and all the boats are out of the water for the season. The pier sits empty at early evening in the waning sunlight. Artist's Comments: A small fishing and crabbing dock as viewed at the end of the day. As the day left the colors deepened, and some of the trees turned into silhouettes. I enjoyed painting this scene, the colors, the water, and the angle are pleasing to me. With the fields changing to fall colors the painting offers a sense of peace and quiet.
