Original Fine Art Landscape of a farm at White Clay Creek State Park entitled "Leading the Way"
Landscape paintings of historically significant farms, barns, and buildings abound in the Wright art collection. One of the works that contains pastoral scenes is "Leading the Way".
"Leading the Way" depicts a working horse farm located in the White Clay Creek State Park Newark, Delaware. Available in eprint, Giclee print, and oil painting.
Artist's Comments: While walking my dog in White Clay Ceek Park, through the trees I see this beautiful barn. My attention is drawn to this barn. Memories of the horse we had when I was a child come back to me, of a girl friend riding our horses around the parimeter of a fenced field. These memories and the similarities of this farm to the one our horse was boarded on inspired me to paint this scene. The barn, grounds, fields, fences with an almost endless sky make me feel like I am back in the country again.
