The "Smith Bridge" is a fine art landscape of a covered bridge. This bridge is a historical Landmark that crosses the Brandywine Creek in northern Delaware.

Artist's Comments: The way this painting came to be is somewhat unusual, as this painting is of the Original Smith Bridge not the one that was rebuilt to look very similiar to the original. My father had a friend who had a photograph of the original Smith Bridge. This photograph was in black and white. The color red of the bridge was from my father's memory. I painted this bridge in memory of my mother, for my father and my family. My mother always really enjoyed riding through this covered bridge. Hopefully we will all have an opportunity to ride through a covered bridge.
